It was a pleasure to return to Codsall this week to visit the Warm Hub hosted at Love and Liquor, a fantastic community initiative that continues to bring residents together every Wednesday morning.
The session provided a valuable opportunity to catch up with constituents in an informal setting, with many enjoying a warm drink and conversation. Alongside this, attendees were also able to engage with South Staffordshire Council’s Food Waste Community Roadshow, which was on hand to offer practical information ahead of upcoming service changes.
Residents had the chance to view the new food waste caddies, ask questions, and learn more about how the weekly collections will operate once launched. The roadshow offered helpful guidance and ensured that people felt informed and prepared for the changes ahead.
Initiatives like the Warm Hub play an important role in supporting the community, not only by providing practical assistance, but also by creating a welcoming space where people can connect and support one another.
A sincere thank you goes to the dedicated volunteers and organisers who run the Warm Hub each week. Their continued efforts are making a real difference to the lives of local residents.
