I was proud to kick off my annual Volunteer Week by volunteering at two outstanding organisations for the youngest and older members of our communities doing excellent work here in Kingswinford and South Staffordshire.
I began my annual Volunteer Week at the Babybank in Kingswinford today — a remarkable charity providing vital support to young families across my constituency and beyond. My collection for the Brierley Hill Babybank remains open, so if you're in a position to contribute, please leave your donations at my constituency office in Wombourne.
I then spent the afternoon at the Senior Citizens Day Centre in Kinver, and what a fantastic experience it was. From serving up slices of cake and cups of tea, to drawing the tombola and stepping in as Bingo MC for the afternoon, it was great to get truly stuck in to such a vibrant and welcoming community group. Thank you to Lin Hingley for the warm welcome, and to all the attendees who made my time so memorable.
What a positive way to begin my Volunteer's Week. I'm looking forward to continuing to volunteer at a range of different organisations throughout the rest of the week.
