Mike Wood MP attended an emergency residents’ meeting in Codsall Wood alongside Councillor Val Chapman in recent days. The meeting was set up to discuss fire safety, following a string of major fires across the region in recent weeks.
Mike Wood MP said:
"Following the recent fires in Stourbridge, there is understandable concern, with many residents worried about the safety of their homes, families and livelihoods.
Residents have responded proactively, coming together to develop plans to strengthen community preparedness and support one another in the event of an emergency. These community-led efforts are not a substitute for guidance or instructions from the emergency services, but they are an important example of residents working together to help keep their community safe and prepared.
I will continue to listen to residents and work closely with local emergency services to ensure their concerns are heard."
