I had a fantastic time at this year’s Wombourne Carnival. From space-themed floats to local charities and cake stalls, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
It was great to chat with so many brilliant local groups, including the Guide Dogs team, Wombourne Dementia Singing Friends, Friendly Faces, and the Wombourne Allstars – just a few of the many organisations that help make our community so special.
A huge congratulations to Westfield Community Primary School, Blakeley Heath Primary School, and Wombourne Allstars for placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and well done to 2nd Wombourne Brownies for their impressive entry in the float parade – a real highlight of the day!
This year’s Wombourne Show, run by the WI, saw its highest number of entries since 2012. Naturally, I couldn’t resist picking up a slice (or two!) at their famous bake sale.
A big thank you to Vicki and the entire Carnival Committee for once again putting on such a brilliant event. Wombourne has so much to be proud of!
