Because of the General Election, the tour planned for 4th July will have to be postponed. Mike will arrange a new date if he is re-elected as an MP.
Mike is once again putting on a tour of Parliament to welcome residents to the heart of Britain’s democracy this July.
As part of the latest free tour organised by Mike, residents will have the chance to watch live debates in the House of Commons and House of Lords, hear about the history of Parliament, and finally quiz Mike as part of a committee room question-and-answer session.
The free tour will be on Thursday 4th July and coach transport has also been arranged at £28 per head to transport residents from Wordsley to Westminster and back again.
Mike said:
“This year is most certainly going to be an election year so there will no doubt be even more interest than normal in what’s going on in Westminster.
“As with my many previous tour invites to residents, this trip is open for all to attend and coach transport has been organised.
“Not only is the Palace of Westminster a historic building of incredible national importance, but it is the living and breathing engine of our democracy so I hope lots of residents will be able to join us for this unique experience.”
The coach will depart from Wordsley early on 4th July and return the same evening. Exact timings will be confirmed on booking.
