It was a true honour to be part of another poignant Remembrance Sunday in Kingswinford & South Staffordshire.
Following participation in Codsall's event to mark the occasion in 2024; This year I took part in the Remembrance Parade and service in Kingswinford The turnout was amazing, with more people than ever coming together to pay their respects.
Each year, it’s inspiring to see so many young people getting involved — from primary and secondary schools to cadet units, Scout and Guide groups, and local youth football teams. Their participation ensures that the importance of remembrance continues through the generations.
A heartfelt thank you to my wife, Laura, for laying a wreath on my behalf in Wombourne, and to my Chief of Staff, Yasser for representing me in Kinver this morning. It’s wonderful to see communities across our area united in remembering those whose sacrifices have given us the freedoms we enjoy today.
We will remember them.
