I was delighted to attend a recent coffee morning in aide of Guide Dogs UK, held at Wombourne United Reformed Church. The event brought together a wonderful mix of volunteers, independent traders and local residents.
It was fantastic to meet so many people and their four legged friends who campaign tirelessly to ensure those experiencing sight-loss are able to receive the life changing support that access to a guide dog provides.
I was also pleased to play a small part in supporting the work of Guide Dogs UK by contributing to their fundraising efforts. Every pound raised helps train and sponsor guide dogs that go on to transform the lives of people living with sight loss — offering not just independence and mobility, but also companionship and confidence.
A heartfelt thank you to Claire and her Guide Dog, Royal, for the kind invitation and warm welcome.
